Read moreTennis is one of the most popular and funded sports in the world. The origins of today’s tennis come from the 12th century, from northern France. At that time, the game was called “game of the palm”, which eventually resulted in a modern, well-known sport.
Various tournaments of this wonderful sport are held in completely different parts of the world. The annual ATP tennis season begins on December 31 and ends on November 24. Each tournament has a certain number of points and a prize package. For example, Grand Slam tournaments (highest rated tournaments) Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open winners get up to 3 million $ and 2000 ATP points, which is a huge achievement in the career of each player.
There are other competitions with lower victory points and prizes, but no less interesting for fans of this sport – ATP Tour – ATP Tour Masters 1000, ATP Tour 500 and ATP 250. To make it easier to understand, in the tournament’s rating name is written how many points winner of the competition will receive. Moreover, since the 1970 year, there is an annual men’s tennis tournament – ATP Finals. In these competitions, winners get up to 1500 ranking points and about 3 million $. That is a great chance to catch up leaders in ATP Rankings and fight at the end of the season for a great price.
That’s all about ATP, however, there are Challenger tournaments and even less rated ITF events. Most often, in exactly these tournaments manifest themselves young, talented and well-known tennis players in the future. The greatest athletes of the world play in our time and show incredible results. We live at the times when the legends Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic are fighting a very strong young generation.
Experts of our team daily monitor various tennis events. Previews are written not only about ATP Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open), but also about tournaments of lesser importance, but no less interesting.
