Bayern Munich vs Hertha Berlin will be the opening match of the Bundesliga 2019/20 season at Allianz Arena, in Munich. 1st Round of Bundesliga is always very interesting to watch, as teams prepared differently and there may be surprises. After the summer off-season and the transfer window, both teams have slightly changed the squads and are ready to break into battle with new forces. For Bayern Munich, this season will be tough, as Borussia Dortmund will step on the heels in every round and we expect a situation similar to the 2018/19 season.

Both coaches with Croatian roots should give us a great show. As we can see from the last meeting between these teams, Hertha Berlin is a very uncomfortable opponent. Bayern won against Hertha only twice at home ground during the last 3 seasons. Moreover, Hertha also won during at the beginning of the last season at Olympiastadion, in Berlin. In Bundesliga, they have drawn 3 games during 3 last seasons. The games between these teams are very intense and interesting, so we suggest to read our thoughts here below before starting to bet.

Bayern Munich

The team from Munich is very well provided with attacking players, with this they have no particular problems. During the summer transfer window, they decided to strengthen the backline, so they bought Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez. Unfortunately, the Bundesliga veteran decided to return to Borussia Dortmund, so the acquisition of a new central defender was inevitable. Bayern Munich already played two official games this season against Borussia Dortmund at the German Super Cup final and Energie Cottbus at 1/32 round of DFB Pokal. The Bavarians lost to Yellow Blacks with 2:0 result, however, they had more chances and dangerous moments. Munich controlled the game by 65% and had 16 goal attempts, while Borussia had only 5. Playing against Cottbus Bayern were absolute favorites, as they won the game with 3:1 result at Stadion der Freundschaft. Bayern controlled the game with 73% possession and made 27 goal attempts, however, conceded a late goal from a penalty.

Unfortunately, one of the most confident defensive midfielders Javi Martines most likely will miss the Bayern Munich vs Hertha Berlin game due to knee problems.

Hertha Berlin

Herta Berlin took 11th place last year and should start playing like in 2016/17 season. Previously in Bundesliga, they looked much better and showed stronger results causing problems even to Bayern Munich. However, last season team bad drastic changes, as after 4 and a half-season working, the club fired Pál Dárdai. The main squad manager took under control Hertha Berlin II team coach Ante Covic. He also had troubles playing last season, however, the club have hopes for a coach who is familiar with all the players. The old lady sold one of the club leader Valentino Lazaro to Internazionale for 22m €. Lazaro was the absolute leader on the right side with abilities to play both as defender and attacker. To add more strength in the attack, the team brought 21 years old Belgian Dodi Lukabekio from Watford for 20m €. The team needs to change a lot to be competitive in Bundesliga and find the best way to collect more wins.

Hertha already played in 1/32 Round of DFB Pokal. They confidently won the game against Regionalliga side Eichstatt with 5:1 result. That was the first and only one season match of the season. We wish to hold this kind of level until the end of the season.
