Quarter-finals at ATP 250 in Lyon as American Taylor Fritz faces Bautista-Agut. Fritz is currently 46th in the world but he definitely improved his game on clay this season. He has never been a good clay player until now. Bautista-Agut is definitely getting more attention but he is not showing anything special these days and struggles to beat much lower ranked opponents such as Moutet today. To have more insights on this ATP Taylor Fritz vs Bautista-Agut Roberto match please check out the preview below.
Taylor Fritz
Fritz is still one of the youngest players on the tour as he is only 21 years old but plays solid tennis for this age. He started the season struggling a bit but now he has won 8 of the last 10 games including ones over Dimitrov, Pella, Schwartzman and so on. Fritz has a good serve and great forehand as well as he can strike an unreachable winner out of nowhere. He is considered to be an underdog in this game but no doubt if he shows something similar to his previous performances we will see some great tennis by this young star in the making.
Bautista-Agut Roberto
Bautista has the rare ability to play all of the grounds at a good level but he just looks more comfortable on hard grounds. Expectations are huge for him but in reality, he is not that good on clay as he is on hard. Bautista used to be one of the most consistent players last season. Spanish almost never lost against lower ranked players but this year he struggles to maintain this kind of ability. He’s lost against Berrettini, Ferrer and almost got away with a win over Moutet. He definitely has the ability to show us a better performance tomorrow but we will have to see if he will match the expectations.
Taylor Fritz vs Bautista-Agut Roberto H2H
