Stanislas Wawrinka

Wawrinka surprised everyone in this epic game against Tsitsipas in 1/8 final as he managed to win it in 5 sets. It’s probably the best match of this year so far as many consider it to be. Stanislas had a really tough road to this stage as he beat Kovalik, Garin, Dimitrov, and Tsitsipas on the way. Even though he is playing the best season we’ve seen him play this season it’s questionable in what shape is he going to show up tomorrow. 3 tiebreaks with Dimitrov, 5+ hours vs Tsitsipas and now facing Federer would be hard for anyone. Given that Wawrinka is 34 years of age at the moment this kind of schedule is really hard to handle. Got to see how prepared will he be for this match.

Roger Federer

Roger had a lot easier way to quarter-final compared to Wawrinka. Federer hasn’t even played against Top10, Top20 or even Top50 player so far. Sonego, Otte, Ruud, and Mayer were his opponents and Federer had no problems beating all of them in straight sets. That’s why Federer feel much fresher and have an advantage given how tough his opponent’s schedule was.

Roger hasn’t played in Roland Garros last year so he can add up a fair amount of points to his pockets and maybe climb back where he’s been most of the time.
