Semi-final of an ATP 250 tournament at Eastbourne, United Kingdom. A very interesting match is waiting for us here as both players have reached this stage storming past their opponents. To have more insights on this ATP Sam Querrey vs Thomas Fabbiano match please check out the preview below.
Sam Querrey
31 years old American who is currently ranked 79th overall has finally made comeback to tennis after his few months absence from tennis due to some injuries. Querrey has become a great player who improved a lot since earlier seasons and was climbing the rankings for quite some time until running into these injuries. He’s always been good on hard and grass especially and he’s proving this once again. The tournament in Eastbourne is only his first one after not playing for a few months. He’s already dominating and hasn’t lost a single set yet in 3 matches played. It’s still unclear if he is fully healthy and prepared for such a long run. If he keeps playing the same level he did previously he has a real chance to win this tournament.
Thomas Fabbiano
30 years old Italian who is currently 102nd ranked overall has started to impress everyone as nobody expected him to win against Giles Simon in quarter-finals and reach this stage. Thomas is actually very different from tomorrow’s opponent as he is short and can’t rely on his serve just like Querrey does. He can’t have a day off with forehand or backhand not working well as he can’t compensate it with a good serve. That’s why he is underestimated sometimes. Anyway, Fabbiano has been performing well so far and has only lost 2 sets in 5 matches he’s played at Eastbourne. To win tomorrow he is going to have an even better game than against Simon. However, he is one of the players who can definitely surprise in such situations.
