Roger Federer

38 years old, currently 3rd ranked Federer hasn’t shown any signs of weaknesses in this tournament so far. Not only did he steamroll through his previous opponents and defeated P. Gojowczyk, R. Albot, S. Wawrinka and S. Tsitsipas, he also did it without losing a single set. The only issue with Federer these days is his stamina and physical condition, because it gets harder and harder to play these long tournaments with time passing by. Anyway, Federer should still feel fresh because he hasn’t spent a lot of time on the court here, at Basel and he will definitely be the favourite for tomorrow’s match. Even though the young Australian is playing very well, Roger shouldn’t have any problems only if he manages to keep up the similar form that he’s shown recently.

Alex De Minaur

20 years old, currently 28th ranked Australian is slowly but surely becoming a threat for everyone as he’s been performing very well this season. De Minaur has won the title in Atlanta earlier this year and added up the title in Zhuhai 2 months later, in September. De Minaur had a tough match today, where he had to play 3 tie-breaks against R. Opelka. This match required a lot of energy from the young man so there is a question of how fresh will Alex look tomorrow after such a tough battle. Anyway, this is the biggest chance for him this year as he hasn’t participated in ATP 500 finals this year.
