1/8 final of ATP Grand Slam at Wimbledon. This time No. 1 in the world will face off against one of the youngest players at the tournament who hasn’t lost a single set yet. To have more insights on this ATP Ugo Humbert vs Novak Djokovic match please check out the preview below.

Novak Djokovic

32 years old Serbian is slowly but surely getting used to grass and reaching his optimal form. Djokovic had a great series of tournaments on clay before entering the grass by winning 15 out of 18 matches played and it’s hard to really adapt on the different ground at the such a short period of time. That’s why he’s lost to Shapovalov at an exhibition match. Despite that loss, Djokovic has started strong here at Wimbledon by defeating Kohlschreiber and Kudla both in straight sets. It was quite a surprise to see Novak giving up a set to Hurkacz, but Serbian recovered right after that and finished the match in 17 more games. Djokovic is a champion of this tournament and is defending 2000 points so expect him to keep increasing his level of play right until the biggest stage.

Ugo Humbert

Humbert is only 21 years of age but he is playing very solid tennis so far. This season is only his first one playing on grass and he’s won 6 out of 10 matches played which is a great result for a debut season. Nobody expected a lot of him here at Wimbledon but Humbert played against all of the odds by defeating Gael Monfils after being down by 2 sets at the opening round. He’s also defeated Granollers-Pujol and Canadian sensation Felix Auger-Aliasime in 2nd and 3rd rounds in straight sets. It’s incredible knowing that Humbert was put a heavy underdog in all of these matches. The Frenchman is definitely proving everyone wrong and it’ll be interesting to see if he has something more to show as he will face the best one.
