To have more insights on this ATP Novak Djokovic vs Stefanos Tsitsipas match, please check out the preview below.

Novak Djokovic

32 years old, currently ranked 1st in the world, Serbian is ready to take another step in order to defend his title in Shanghai. Novak had to retire early in US Open due to shoulder injury, but it seems like he’s fully healed since then and is already playing at the peak form. Djokovic hasn’t lost a single set in ATP 500 tournament in Tokyo and is dominating here, in Shanghai as well. Djoko defeated D. Shapovalov and J. Isner in straight sets in first two rounds and is looking very strong. It’s hard to see anyone except Roger or Rafa having anything to say against the form that Djokovic plays at if he’s fully healthy.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

21 years old, 7th ranked Greek is also on a good run coming into tomorrow’s match. Tsitsipas had a great tournament in Beijing, where he managed to reach the final but weren’t able to defeat D. Thiem. Here, in Shanghai, he’s already beaten F. Auger-Alliasime and H. Hurkacz in the opening rounds. Tsitsipas hasn’t been the most consistent player throughout the year. However, he’s shown that on a good day he can defeat anyone and should be underestimated. It’s also interesting to note that Tsitsipas hasn’t lost against Djokovic on hard yet as he’s won the only match they played in Toronto on a hard surface.
