1/8 finals of an ATP Grand Slam US Open, USA (hard). This will be a very exciting match to watch as two very well known players who’ve been playing incredible tennis for over a decade will face off against each other. To have more insights on this US Open Novak Djokovic vs Stanislas Wawrinka match, please check out the preview below.

Novak Djokovic

32 years old, 1st racked of the world hasn’t stopped after winning the Wimbledon this year and is performing incredibly well on hard surface as well. He’s got into the semi-final of ATP 1000, Cincinnati, but hasn’t been able to stop Danill Medvedev and dropped out at this stage. Anyway, he’s now playing in US Open as dominant as ever before and hasn’t lost a single set in first 3 matches here. Carballes Baena, Londero and Kudla stood no chance against current best player in the world and it’s hard to see someone apart Federer or Nadal being able to stop the Serbian. Novak Djokovic is defending last year’s title and every victory is very important to him in order to do that.

Stanislas Wawrinka

34 years old, 24th ranked veteran is also looking well at this year’s US Open. Stan the Man has only lost 2 sets in 3 matches played and even if he weren’t as dominant as Djokovic, he’s been performing well so far. Stan defeated J. Sinner, J. Chardy and P. Lorenzi in first 3 stages, but the match against Djokovic will be the hardest one for sure. It might be good for Stan to meet such a strong player at early stages of the tournament while his physical condition is still very good and he might have a chance to keep the match close. Stan dropped out of this tournament in R32 last year and has already passed his previous result.

H2H

Djokovic is leading the H2H by 22 victories to 5.
