1/8 finals of an ATP 1000 tournament at Cincinnati, USA (hard). This will be a very exciting match between two players who are both on the roll past few weeks. To have more insights on this ATP Novak Djokovic vs Pablo Carreno-Busta match, please check out the preview below.
Novak Djokovic
The best in the world at the moment, 32 years old Serbian were dominating these past few months and now has an 8 win streak heading into tomorrow’s match. Novak hasn’t played at any other tournament since the Wimbledon but came to Cincinnati to defend the title. He’s already played a match here and won against a local S.Querrey quite comfortably in straight sets. The only question for Djokovic is how long will it take for him to fully adapt on hard at Cincinnati as he’s played only a single official match so far on this surface since the Wimbledon. Carreno-Busta has already played 4, so Djokovic might need some time to get used to the rhythm.
Pablo Carreno-Busta
28 years old, currently 53rd ranked Spaniard did also have a good run lately. He’s finally fully recovered from all the injuries that were occurring one after the other and now we’re seeing the Carreno-Busta at his best. It’s the first tournament for Busta since March, but he’s already playing very well. Pablo has easily gone through the qualification after defeating M. Copil and J. Wolf 2-0 and 2-1. He’s also defeated G. Simon in straight sets and J. Isner, who was placed as a favorite, in 3 sets. Spaniard is a very talented player and if he’s going to play to his full potential tomorrow we might see a very competitive match.
