This will be the first round of an ATP 500 tournament at Washington, US (hard). Two of the youngest players of this tournament will face off against each other tomorrow. To have more insights on this ATP Miomir Kecmanovic vs Alexei Popyrin match please check out the preview below.

Miomir Kecmanovic

19 years old Serbian, who is currently ranked 61st overall, will step up on the hard ground once again after being eliminated from Atlanta, ATP 250 in Quarter-final two days ago. A young Serbian has started to shine on the hard ground last season. Now he continued to do that this season as well. He’s already won 15 out of 23 matches he played on this specific ground and is definitely looking like one of the most promising young talents we have today. Kecmanovic doesn’t have any major titles so far, but given how young he is, everything is on the way. He’s managed to reach the quarter-final at Indian Wells this year following with the one in Atlanta. As Kecmanovic has been improving his game this season we might very well see him finally reaching past quarter-final at one of the bigger ATP tournaments here, at Washington.

Alexei Popyrin

On the other side of the court, we have a young Australian, who is also 19 years old. Even though he is ranked lower than tomorrow’s opponent (87), Popyrin is no stranger at participating at higher-ranked tournaments. Not only did he reach the 2nd round at Indian Wells, Quarter-finals at Atlanta, he’s also got into the 2nd round at Wimbledon after going through the qualification matches. There he’s lost against D. Medvedev but has managed to take a set away from the Russian. Popyrin has also got a good career record playing on hard so far. 69 victories out of 108 matches played is a really strong result. This young Australian might have less experience than Kecmanovic but is a dangerous opponent who is also improving a lot with every season.
