The second round of ATP Grand Slam at Wimbledon. This should be a really exciting match between two great servers who plays their best on faster grounds. To have more insights on this ATP Karen Khachanov vs Feliciano Lopez match please check out the preview below.
Karen is still one of the better and most promising young guns we have today. 23 year old is currently ranked 9th but has not been playing that way for quite some time. Of course, he is still a young player but for a guy who is in Top 10 expectations are much higher. Khachanov’s best result this season was reaching a quarter-final at French Open and that’s all he got. Overall Russian’s play style fits the ground well but his game in the first round did not convince that he would be a favorite for his next match for sure. Khachanov had a tough battle against a young Korean who is not even in Top 100 and it’s hard to tell if there were only nerves for the first match or Khachanov is really not in the form so far but tomorrow will answer some of these questions.
The 54th ranked veteran from Spain has suddenly started to shine when most of the experts were starting to write him off. After a very tough and bad start of the season, Lopez managed to recover after the grass season kicked in and he’s looking dominant on this ground. 37 years old veteran has won 8 out of 10 matches played on grass this season and it’s really impressive and shows a lot about his current shape. Spaniard has even managed to win his first title in a long time at Queen’s Club. He also had no problems at the opening round against Marcos Giron and defeated him convincingly in straight sets. If Lopez keeps playing at the same form he does at the moment he might be able to overcome tomorrow’s test.
