Kamil Majchrzak
94th ranked in the world, 23 years old Polish player is having a very good season so far. Even though he’s mostly playing at lower-ranked tournaments, such as ATP 250 and Challenger Series, Majchrzak has shown himself by making it into the main draw of Wimbledon. He’s lost against Verdasco at that match in straight sets, but it was definitely a great experience for a young player. Kamil has won 41 out of 62 matches he’s played this season including 14 of 22 on a hard surface. Majchrzak is only 183 cm. tall but has a good serve for that size and has a good all-around game. Overall this guy can become a very good player in a few years.
Tommy Robredo
37 years old veteran, who is only ranked 184th in the world at the moment has only played a single match in 6 months on a hard surface. This match were the one here, at US Open qualification, against G. Soeda. Robredo closed out the match with a victory in 2 sets, but overall performance weren’t that good as Soeda played poorly at that match. Robredo is mostly clay surface player and rarely steps on hard, but he’s decided to try his luck at the biggest hard tournament of the year for some reason. He’s only played 5 matches on hard this season and managed to win just 2 of them.
