The 3rd round of ATP Grand Slam at Wimbledon is here. Two of the most underrated players of the tournament managed to overcome all the difficulties so far and will face off against each other tomorrow. To have more insights on this ATP Fernando Verdasco vs Thomas Fabbiano match please check out the preview below.

Fernando Verdasco

37 years old veteran from Spain who is currently being ranked 37th. He was almost out of the tournament after being down by 2 sets at the previous match against Kyle Edmund. He actually started to play a lot better at the 3rd set and things started to go his way as he overcame the deficit and defeated the Englishman. Of course, it’s hard to predict how the veteran will look at the later stages and after such a tough battle yesterday due to his age but Verdasco has been playing great tennis on grass so far. Verdasco’s play style fit this ground very well. He loves to play aggressively and have a good career record on grass overall. The biggest question for Verdasco is if he managed to recover after such a tough and long battle yesterday. Moreover, in what shape will he enter the court tomorrow.

Thomas Fabbiano

30 years old Italian is only ranked 89th in the world but has impressed everyone by his performances on grass this season. Fabbiano has never been a great grass player until 2017. He’d won 7 out of 10 matches played and followed it with a similar result the year after. The biggest achievement for Fabbiano this season were reaching the semi-final at Eastbourne while defeating Giles Simon on the way. Everyone expected the Italian to fall out of the Wimbledon at the first round against Tsitsipas but he defeated all the odds and won the game in 5 sets. Fabbiano also played 5 sets against Karlovic yesterday. It will be very interesting to see if he’ll be able to recover for another hard battle.
