To have more insights on this Vienna Open Diego Schwartzman vs Karen Khachanov match, please check out the preview below.

Diego Schwartzman

Currently ranked 15th overall, 27 years old Argentinian hasn’t been the most consistent player these past few weeks. After having a strong performance in the US Open, where he managed to reach the quarter-final and only lost to Rafael Nadal, Schwartzman hasn’t shown the same form until this tournament in Vienna. Schwartzman has defeated P. Herbert in straight sets in the opening round and followed it up with a victory over S. Querrey in 3 sets today. Diego looked strong today and after being down 0-1 he showed a strong character which led to a huge comeback for a 2-1 victory over a good player. If Argentinian translates this form into tomorrow’s match we might see a very close battle between these two players.

Karen Khachanov

23 years old, currently 9th ranked Russian shouldn’t be very satisfied with his performances recently as he hasn’t managed to reach the 3rd round at least at the tournament in Moscow. Khachanov hasn’t been playing well in Russia and his form is really questionable here as well. After defeating A. Seppi in the opening round here, in Vienna, Khachahov had a tough match today against M. Fucsovics. It’s a big question if Khachanov would’ve been able to win if Hungarian hasn’t injured himself. The lack of stability and questionable form are the signs of worry on the Russian’s side and he needs to fix it in order to reach something here, at Vienna.
