Daniel Evans

29 years old Daniel Evans has always been an average player on every ground he played. He hasn’t performed in the biggest tournaments but this year he is constantly and consistently winning matches in lower ranked tournaments and rarely loses to lower ranked players. This year Evans has won 37 out of 51 matches played including 10 out of 11 victories on the grass and that’s really impressive. He only lost to Wawrinka in Queen’s club after winning 10 matches in a row on grass this season and even in that match against Switz, he had a great chance to win if not those minor injuries that occurred in the 1st set. If Evans is fully healed he might go far at this tournament knowing how well he’s been performing so far.

Radu Albot

Kind of similar story on Moldavian’s side as 29 years old has always been an average player who manages to surprise in one game or another. He mostly plays on clay and hard grounds but these past years his game on the hard ground has improved a lot. This year he’s won 13 out of 17 matches he played on hard and that’s a great result. Knowing that hard is a similar ground compared to grass Albot should be able to perform on it as well. Even though he hasn’t played a lot on grass throughout his career expect him to start playing better on this ground as well as he did on hard.
