1/8 final and second day of an ATP 250 tournament in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. The match between 23-year-old Christian Garin from Chile vs a local 32-year-old Robin Haase is waiting for us tomorrow. To have more insights on this ATP Christian Garin vs Robin Haase match please check out the preview below.

Christian Garin

Christian is still a young player whose breakout season was last year. He played 70 matches last year and managed to win 50 of them. This is definitely a good performance even though some of the tournaments were not the highest tier. Garin stepped his game up and he’s showing some growth this season as well. Garin participated in 3 finals this season already in Munich, Houston, and San Paulo and managed to win 2 of 3. There is no secret that his favorite ground is clay and he shines on it mostly. That’s why it will be interesting to see him changing the ground and adapting to grass which has absolutely different dynamics compared to clay. Got to see how well Garin handles this challenge.

Robin Haase

Robin Haase is a 32-year-old player from Netherlands what means that he’s playing at his home crowd in this event. Haase has always been a good average player with some ups and downs in specific tournaments but has never been considered a star or a top tier player. Haase actually had some good runs on hard last year as he beat players like Zverev, Shapovalov, Jarry and so on. He also lowered the number of tournaments he plays since 2016 and it can be seen that he loves playing on grass/hard grounds more than playing on clay. Robin has a lot more experience on grass than his tomorrow’s opponent and will be interesting to see if he show Garin some tricks on this ground.
