The final match of an ATP 250 tournament in Winston-Halem, USA (hard). Both players have proved they’re worth to be there by comfortably beating their opponents in semi-finals and will face off against each other for the final battle. To have more insights on this ATP Benoit Paire vs Hubert Hurkacz match, please check out the preview below.

Benoit Paire

30 years old, currently 30th ranked Frenchman has once again proved that he’s a very good 3rd set player. After losing the 6 to 1, he managed to come back and with both 2nd and 3rd sets 6-0 6-0, which is incredible knowing how well Johnson is serving. It’s something that you can only see once in a year or few of them and Paire should feel very motivated and boosted after such a huge victory yesterday. Overall the Frenchman managed to get into the form right before the start of US Open and it will be very interesting to see him competing on the highlest level once again after this final will be over.

Hubert Hurkacz

22 years old, currently 41st ranked Polish player is very close to his previous career high (40). Hurkacz defeated D. Lee (212), F. Lopez (63), F. Tiafoe (52) and D Shapovalov (38) in order to reach this stage. He just dominated against the young Canadian yesterday in the semi-final and managed to win it convincingly 6-4 6-3, after breaking Shapovalov in both sets. Hurkacz has a similar playstyle compared to B. Paire, but hasn’t been that good at 1st serve % so far. Hurkacz only had 47% of his first serve hitting the right spots and this is a really low percentage for a player like Hurkacz. In order to win tomorrow he will definitely have to serve at a higher percentage.
