The last match of the day in tomorrow’s quarter-finals in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. An interesting match between two young Australian players is waiting for us. Alex De Minaur will face off against Jordan Thompson. To have more insights on this ATP De Minaur vs Thompson match please check out the preview below.
Alex De Minaur
Alex is only 20 years of age but has already made his mark on ATP rankings as he is sitting in 24th overall at the moment. A lot of injuries led to a sluggish and slow start this season and the fact that most of the season yet were played on clay ground which is not his best one forced Minaur into some struggles. Things should definitely change to a better side for him as he is much more capable on grass/hard compared to clay grounds. De Minaur actually had 13 wins out of 17 matches he played on grass last season and it’s a very promising result. Got to keep an eye on the shape he comes in tomorrow.
Jordan Thompson
Jordan is 25 years old and started to improve his rankings since last season. He’s made a lot of good runs on hard last season. He even adapted to clay quite well to start this season strongly as well. Now, this part of the season is a favorite one for Thompson as well. Even though he played on clay pretty well his main ground is also a hard and grass is preferred over clay. This will be the third game in this tournament for Thompson as he beat Paul and Tiafoe previously.
Alex De Minaur vs Jordan Thompson H2H
