1/32 finals of an ATP 1000 tournament at Montreal, Canada (hard). There we have an interesting match for the opening round as two of the “hottest” players on tour at the moment will face off against each other. To have more insights on this ATP Alex De Minaur vs Daniel Evans match please check out the preview below.

Alex De Minaur

20 years old Australian had just won the ATP 250 tournament in Atlanta and is definitely in a great shape coming to this tournament. De Minaur is still very young but should never be underestimated as he’s one of the most talented young players we have on tour today. After a sluggish start of the season, Australian has now won 14 out of 19 matches played on the hard ground this year. Alex dropped out of City Open at Washington at the opening round against Gojowczyk, but these things happen after winning the tournament few days after and there is no surprise about that. Anyway, this is a big tournament for a young man and he will definitely show up in the best form.

Daniel Evans

29 years old, currently 53rd ranked Englishman is demonstrating really good results so far this year as well. He’s won 23 out of 33 matches on hard and 14 out of 17 on the grass. Evans is shining on fast grounds and is a threat for anyone. He plays against everyone strongly no matter he’s the favorite for the match or considered as an underdog. He’s gone through the qualification for the tournament quite easily by defeating Kwiatkovski and Granollers in straight sets. Evans is not as talented as De Minaur. However, he has a lot more experience and might take advantage of it tomorrow. It will be very interesting to see competing at such a high level against young and very talented opponent.
