It’s the featherweight championship bout. Both featherweights will have a serious confrontation. Review our thoughts on this bout here below.

On the 27th of July UFC is coming back to Canada. In the main event of the evening current UFC Featherweight Champion Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway (20-4) will defend his belt against former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie ‘The Answer’ Edgar (23-6-1) at Rogers Place, Canada. Who will be a winner? Max Holloway? Or it will be Frankie Edgar? All answers will be answered on the 27th of July.

Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway

Max Holloway is coming off a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 236 back in April. Holloway was stopped for the first time in the last 5 years. That loss snapped his 13 fight winning streak.  But that fight was for the interim UFC lightweight title so Holloway hasn’t lost his featherweight belt and he is still a champion. At UFC 240 he will defend it against a very dangerous opponent – Frankie Edgar. ‘Blessed’ is a dangerous striker, has knockout power. Also, Max has a good striking defense.  He is an aggressive fighter, tough and fearless. After a loss, we believe that he will be much more motivated and he will take this fight very seriously.

Frankie ‘The Answer’ Edgar

Frankie Edgar hadn’t fought since April 2018. It was a lot of speculations that he hasn’t earned a shot to the title because he wasn’t fighting for more than a year. But UFC gave him that chance so he will do everything he could to become new UFC featherweight champion. ‘The Answer’ won his last fight against Cub Swanson by decision at UFC Fight Night 128 back in April 2018. Edgar is an incredibly tough fighter. He is extremely quick, has great footwork. Edgar lands a lot of strikes in his fights, also he has strong chin – only finished once in a career. It would be a shame not to mention that he is a superb wrestler.
