Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov

The current UFC Lightweight undefeated champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is coming off his most important fight in his career against UFC superstar Conor McGregor at UFC 229 back in October 2018. The build-up to this fight was insane. It would be hard to find a sports fan who hasn’t heard of that fight. Khabib defeated McGregor by submission (neck-crank) in the 4th round. ‘The Eagle’ defended his UFC Lightweight title and remained undefeated. Now he has another challenge in front of him, a dangerous fighter – Dustin Poirier. Nurmagomedov is definitely the best grappler in the MMA. He has the ability to control the fight where it goes.

If he wants, he can throw the opponent to the ground or box with him. Khabib has real firepower in the fighting. He is an insanely great wrestler, grappler, also his stand-up isn’t very bad – he has a decent striking.  It is very hard to stop this fighter in the fight.

Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier

The interim UFC Lightweight champion Dustin Poirier is coming off a hard win over current UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway at UFC 236 back in April. Poirier defeated Holloway by unanimous decision and became interim UFC Lightweight champion. Now he will be fighting for the real belt with a real champion – Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘The Diamond’ is on a 4-fight winning streak. In his last three fights, he defeated two very dangerous fighters – Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway and Eddie Alvarez. Poirier is that fighter, who always likes to trade punches, this is why his fights are so exciting. He also has real power in his hands, he is tough, always ready to fight.
