Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal
Jorge Masvidal is coming off a spectacular knockout win against Darren Till at UFC Fight Night 147 back in March. He knocked out him cold in the second round and remembered us all who “Gamebred” is. This win snapped his two-fight losing streak and definitely boosted his rank in UFC welterweight division. Masvidal is always ready to fight, ready to put a tough fight to his opponents. He is born killer. It is very hard to take down American because his takedown defense is great. Also, he is a dangerous striker, excellent uses ‘sneaker’ strikes on the break, has good knees in the clinch and he is very well coached.
Ben “Funky” Askren
Ben Askren is coming off a controversial debut win against Robbie Lawler back in March, at UFC 235. As Askren was squeezing bulldog choke referee Herb Dean got close to check if Robbie Lawler is good. But Lawler’s shoulder appeared to go limp for a second so Herb Dean had to stop the fight. But after the horn, Lawler instantly sprang to his feet and protested the stoppage to Dean that he was not out. And he wasn’t but it is what it is. Askren got a win in his UFC debut and he is looking forward to getting another one. “Funky” is an elite class, former Olympian wrestler. His wrestling is on another level. Also, his striking is quite good – he won 6 fights by knockouts. Also “Funky” has great defensive skills.
