In the main event of the evening former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair “The Reem” Overeem (44-17, 1NC) will face Aleksei “The Boa Constrictor” Oleinik (57-11-1). This fight will take place at Yubileyny Sports Palace. A heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov was planned to headline this event but Volkov pulled out dua health issues, so he was replaced by Aleksei Oleinik.

Alistair Overeem is coming off a TKO win against then-unbeaten Sergey Pavlovich back in November at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Ngannou 2. “The Reem” is former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion also the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix Champion. The 38 years old heavyweight in a fighting game is for a long time. He is a very experienced fighter, a world-class striker, has strong knees. Moreover, Overeem fights smart and patiently. Also, he has real power in his hands and can knock out any heavyweight in the division.

 

Aleksei “The Boa Constrictor” Oleinik

Aleksei Oleinik last fought in September. Then he headlined UFC Moscow card in a fight against Mark Hunt. Oleinik won that fight by submission in the first round by rear-naked choke. 41 years old Ukrainian is 6-2 in the UFC octagon and all his wins coming by stoppage.
