Alexander Volkanovski

Alexander „The Great“Volkanovski, 31, is undefeated in his UFC tenure, beating Jose Aldo, Chad Mendes and Darren Elkins among others, en route to the title-clinching performance against Holloway. He was the first one to defeat Max in the featherweight, since MacGregor. Holloway has won 14 fights before being dethroned by the Russian. Volkanovski has won 18 straight fights. The 31-year-old last lost by technical knockout to Corey Nelson all the way back on May 9, 2013. Volkanovski made it clear last week he wants to “prove” he’s the best featherweight in the world by taking on Holloway again. But it won’t be that easy.

Max Holloway

Holloway was riding a 13-fight winning streak before falling to Dustin Poirier in a unanimous decision at UFC 236 in April 13, 2019. The 28-year-old has now dropped two of his last three bouts with a July 2019 victory over Frankie Edgar sandwiched between Poirier and Volkanovski. It will not be an easy fight for „Blessed“, but knowing Max, he has a champions mentality. Also, he has that relentless power and very good grappling skills, knowing that last time fight went to the distance, it should be a very hard fight once again for both fighters.
