On 22th of August, in Europa League Final Qualification, two strongest favourites Torino vs Wolves will fight each other in Stadio Olimpico di Torino, in Turin. This match should be the most exciting during this qualification stage, because, all other matches are between lower class teams. We hope to see a real clash between these great teams in one of the most important games of the season already. Read our thoughts about this match here below.

Torino

Last year Torino played very strong football and lost only 7 times in Serie A. That’s 3rd result in the League by losings after Juventus and Napoli. They have drawn 15 matches and lost lots of points because of that. Of course, that is better than lost. A. Belotti was the main squad leader in attacks, so we hope to see him at his best form this season too. This season was very easy before this game since they played 4 easy matches against very weak opponents in Europa League. Serie A starts only on the 24th of August. It’s hard to say about the strong and weak sides of the team when they played only being favourites and had no problems with their rivals.

The Maroons had a very active summer transfer window, as they brought several strong players and many players came back from loans. They sold Adem Ljajic, who was a strong team leader in the middle. Moreover, M’Baye Niang departured to Stade Rennais and that should be the biggest loss for Torino, however, Simone Zaza came back to the club from Valencia. At home, Torino is a very dangerous team, as they lost only 3 games at home since January. They lost to Juventus with 0:1 result in Serie A, Fiorentina at Coppa Italia 0:2 and Bologna 2:3 in Serie A in a very active and productive game. During this period they won against Inter, AC Milan and Lazio, what shows their abilities to play very strongly.

Unfortunately, S. Edera, I. Falque, Lyanco and V. Parigi will miss the next important game due to injuries and A. Izzo is still under question due to his behalf after a Thigh injury.

Wolves

While Torino playing against weak opponents and can rest before the match with Wolves, this team is fighting in Premier League and already played two very tough games. The opening game was against Leicester City, at King Power Stadium, and Wolves took an important draw, however, Leicester were obviously stronger and more dangerous. They made more goal attempts and had better possession. As Torino, Wolverhampton had no problems against opponents in UEFA Europa League qualification, so it’s better to look about the game with Manchester.

On Monday, Wolves took an important draw against one of the Premier League favourites. First half was very closed, as both teams had only a few dangerous moments. Manchester United was stronger and A. Martial scored a goal. Second half Wolves started much better and stronger, they attacked Red Devil much more often and the game leveled, especially after a fantastic goal in the 55th minute by Ruben Neves. In 68 minute referee pointed on the penalty spot, however, Rui Patricio hit the ball and saved the team from defeat, since the match ended with the result 1:1. In general, the Wolves game left a good impression, especially when playing against Manchester.
