USA

FIFA Rating – 22

USA missed the World Cup in 2018 in Russia, due to last-match loss against qualification group outsiders Trinidad & Tobago in the last match. That was biggest fail of the last years, as they lost a chance to participate in the biggest tournament. Since the WC 2018 qualification, they had lots of friendly matches, where results was very unstable. In general, they were morally depressed failing in such an important moment.

In NORTH & CENTRAL AMERICA Gold Cup they reached the final and lost only against Mexico. But in the group stage and playoffs stage, they played brilliantly, saving clean sheet in every match. However, they totally destroyed Trinidad & Tobago in Group stage with 6:0 result, taking revenge after losing in the last meeting. USA tried to take revenge also against Mexico after defeat in Gold Cup final in the last friendly match, however, lost with even bigger result 0:3.  Cristian Pulisic, young Chelsea talent is taking the lead into his hands, trying to get up USA national soccer team to an another level. Unfortunately, this time he misses the national team break.

Uruguay

FIFA Rating – 5

Earlier Uruguay reached the quarter-final in 2018, World Cup in Russia. They perfectly played in group stage winning against Russia and then against Portugal in 1/8 Final. However, that was unreal to win against France, current champions of the World. Óscar Tabárez works in Uruguay since the 2006 year, so he knows team and players perfectly, trying to open a maximum of their abilities. Quarter-final is a very unlucky stage for the, since, they lost against Peru at this stage once again.

During this national break, they already won against Costa Rica with a 2:1 result. They created much more dangerous attacks and stood strong in defence. All in all, Uruguay have well-known players in their squad, even now playing without Suarez and Cavani. Together with Óscar Tabárez, the team built a solid character. They play very confidently almost in all positions, so they obviously should be the strong favourites meeting the United States.
