Germany vs Estonia - 11/06/2019 Preview

On the 11th of June will play the Germany vs Estonia at Opel Arena, Mainz, in UEFA Euro 2020 Qualification. Germany vs Estonia is the match with big interest because of perspectives in Qualification. Review our thoughts on this Germany vs Estonia match here below.

Germany

FIFA Rating – 13

Germany is one of the strongest national teams in the World. However, they struggling last years as they failed in World Cup championship in Russia. Germanies took the last place in Group in World Cup after losing to Mexico and South Korea. These results were very unpredictable and shocking for their fans and also for the players. No one expected that Germany would not come out of such a group. On this, all the troubles of the team are not over. In the new tournament – UEFA League of Nations, the team ranked last in the group after losing to France and Netherlands and was relegated to League B. Of course, the team has very big prospects, opportunities, and players, but apparently, the problem is in tactics, motivation, and desires.

In Euro 2020 they played the first game against the Netherlands and won in Amsterdam. The game was very productive, tough and fast. We saw 5 goals in the game and, finally, Germany took revenge against the Netherlands after losing in Nations League. There are strong favorites in Group C. Moreover, they played the last game against Belarus in Barysaw and won easily by 2:0 result.  Obviously, Germany and the Netherlands should make everything to succeed and play in Euro2020 main tournament. However, we know well how Northern Ireland can play and they will play. So all these teams will fight till the end and we do not exclude sensation here.

Estonia

FIFA Rating – 96

We can’t say much about Estonian football as it has no big achievements during the last years. Estonia plays confidently against their level football teams like Lithuania, Malta, Hungary, Cyprus, and even Greece. Two years ago in World Cup qualification, they took 4th place overtaking only Cyprus and Gibraltar. After that, they played in Nations League and unfortunately took the last place even after winning against Greece in Athens. Next time, they will play in League D with more comfortable and weak teams.

In Euro 2020 Estonia already lost to Northern Ireland 2:0. Unfortunately, they also at home against Nothern Ireland on the 8th of June. All the countries are playing better than Estonia in their group, so we expect the last place here in the final. Countries like Estonia should strongly work on football academies, football development and plans for the future if they want to compete with other European countries.

These teams played last time almost 100 years ago in the 1937 year and Germany won by 4:1. Even after almost 100 years, things don’t change and we expect a similar result.
