Denmark

FIFA Rating – 14

Denmark during this qualification to main Euro 2020 tournament is unbeaten. They showing best-attacking skills and scored already 15 goals in 5 games. Previously, they took 1st place in UEFA Nations League leaving Wales and Ireland behind. In general, they are unbeaten since September of the 2018 year and showed one of the best forms in Europe so far. Åge Hareide grew very talented and experienced team bringing players from well-known teams. Christian Eriksen and Simon Kjaer are 9 games behind of 100 appearances for main Denmark team. Other players like Andreas Christensen from Chelsea or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg having less than 25 years already played almost by 30 games for the national team, and lots of potentially strong players coming to the squad with every international break.

Even having sometimes bad days as they had with Georgia during the 6th Round, they look very strong and confident. That day, they finished the game with 0:0 draw, however, totally controlled the possession and created a much more dangerous moment. Although, Georgia also showed solid character and had several moments, which could change the way of the game. SO Denmark still has something to achieve and learn. We believe, that this squad can be one of the most dangerous Worlds teams, as they were previously back in 1992 when they became Champions of Euro Championship.

At home, Denmark playing very strongly even against super opponents. They were beaten at home last time in the 2016 year against Montenegro in World Cup qualification.

Switzerland

FIFA Rating – 11

Switzerland played less than everybody games, as they participated in the UEFA Nations League playoffs. They faced Portugal in Semi-finals, unfortunately, lost 3:1 conceding at 88 and 90 minutes two decisive goals from one of the World’s best players Cristiano Ronaldo. They could not hold the defense lost this game at the last minutes of the match. In the game for 3rd place, Swiss lost to England by penalties, as J. Drmic missed and gave victory to the opponents.

In general, Switzerland not showing very stable football so far. They won 2 games out of 4 and these were not against strongest rivals of the group, but Gibraltar and Georgia. Playing against Denmark and Ireland they finished both games with the same 1:1 result. At the moment, they stay at 3rd place with 8 points and chances to stay away from qualification place, since the next game will be against one of the favorites of the group. Of course, Swiss called very talented players into the squad, but they should play until the last second of the game, and never ever again repeat mistakes like in the previous match against Denmark.

Denmark vs Switzerland H2H

During the Second Round of Euro 2020 qualification, these teams showed one of the most exciting games as it finished with 3:3 final result. Most interesting, that until 84th minute Swiss led the game 3:0 and finally we saw 3:3 on the scoreboard after the whistle. A great example of how teams should stay motivated and concentrated until the very end of the game, and never relax even leading with crushing result 5 minutes before the end.
