On the 10th of June will play the Czech Republic vs Montenegro at Andrův stadión, in Olomouc, in UEFA Euro 2020 Qualification. The Czech Republic vs Montenegro is the match with big interest because of perspectives in Qualification. Review our thoughts on this Czech Republic vs Montenegro match here below.

Czech Republic

FIFA Rating – 48

The Czech Republic lives not the best times of football. Much time has passed since their last achievements with the national team. The national team does not show cosmic results since there are almost no outstanding stars and super talented players. Previously they played in World Cup qualification and took 3rd place leaving Norway behind, what is a really good result. At home ground, they lost only once playing against Germany. In general, they showed great football but Northern Ireland was stronger and took second place in the group. At the end of the 2018 year, in UEFA Nations League they saved the place in League B taking second place in the group and relegated Slovakia to League C. Czechs won twice against Slovakia, however, lost both matches against Ukraine.

The Czech Republic played a friendly match several months ago against Brasil. They even led the first half, and only in the second one, Brazil took back score lead and finally won the game with a 3:1 result.

The first game of Euro 2020 qualification finished by smashing result in favor of England 5:0. Raheem Sterling scored hattrick and England totally dominated in this game. In general, England looks very confident especially in the beginning of the tournament, by scoring 10 goals and conceding only 1 in two matches. On the 7th of June the Czech Republic won the game against Montenegro, however, not without difficulty with 2:1 result. Of course, we can’t compare hosts with England, however, Czech’s have all the chances to fight for second place.

Montenegro

FIFA Rating – 51

In FIFA Ranking these teams are very near to each other. In 2017th World Cup qualification, Montenegro finished behind the Denmark, which took second place. Unfortunately, Montenegro lost two last most important games against Denmark and Poland losing their chances to fight for World Cup main tournament promotion. Of course, the national team still lacks such teams in terms of its level, but they can compete very strongly. In League C of UEFA Nations League Montenegro took only 3rd place in the group, losing twice to Serbia and once to Romania.

During the Euro 2020 qualification, Montenegro failed to win in both games. They lost 5:1 to England and have drawn the game with Bulgaria. The last game, they have drawn 1:1 without spectators in Podgorica against Kosovo. There are no unbeatable teams in Group, except England, so they surely should try their best. Ljubiša Tumbaković called a very interesting team, full of experienced players from absolutely different leagues.
