Czech Republic vs Kosovo
Czech Republic together with Kosovo become underdogs of Group A. Looked like Bulgaria and Montenegro have a great chance to succeed or at least fight for the second place in the group stage. England obviously were the favourites of the Group A, ut even they lost a game. Czechs won all 3 home games and even beat talented and super strong England. Kosovo side also made really strong moves, beat Czech Republic and lost only once against England. In the match against England, they scored 3 goals at St. Mary’s Stadium, in Southampton, what becomes a big sensation. Such a small and young country played on almost one level with historically one of the most talented national team. Kosovo shows unbelievable character and physical conditions even playing against strongest opponents.
Kosovo already met Czechs in Pristina. The match started from the fast Schich goal at 16th minute, however, their lead did not last long. Kosovo equalled the score at 20th minute and Vojvoda scored the decisive goal at 67th-minute f the game. In general, guests were more dangerous, created more chances and controlled the ball, but Kosovo realized their chances and won a very difficult fight. In Plzeň guests will face very angry and motivated Czechs.
Patrik Schick will be one of the main squad leaders in the attack. In this match, for Czechs will be enough to take even 1 point as Montenegro and Bulgaria already don’t have chances to reach them and Kosovo. So the home team can decide to play defensive football. Ladislav Krejci and Vladimir Darida are two Czech Republic veterans with more than 40 apps for this country. So they obviously should play a very important role in the middle of the pitch. In Kosovo, surprising, but we can find players form also very strong squads. So players like Vedat Muriqi, Milot Rashica and Valon Berisha will also show all their potential to take as much as it will be possible from the next game.
