Czech Republic made big changes in their squad and bring more young and potential power. Comparing with recent call-ups Jaroslav decided to call several experienced in national team players and energy from the new ones. During the last 2 years, Czechs lost only twice against Ukraine in UEFA Nations League and to Brazil in friendly. In general, they had no draws and played only for a win or for a loss.
During this Euro 2020 qualification, they played 5 games. In 3 games against Bulgaria and Montenegro, Czechs showed really great football and won, scoring 8 and conceding only 1 goal. Unfortunately, they lost to England, where are no surprises in 5:0 crushing defeat. However, Kosovo won against Czechs even being outsiders of the Group, they even standing at 3rd place with only 1 losing against England with a much better result and game than Czech Republic national squad.
In general, we aw already several types of Czechs football, as they can be very passive and very aggressive when they are confident. Against Montenegro, they showed a really interesting and creative game and the result showed true abilities of that national squad. However, playing against England they failed to create many dangerous moments. Playing against Kosove, they don’t expect such strong opposition from opponents, so they were shocked losing even being in front after Schich goal at 16th minute.

Even more, Berisha scored first, and 7minutes were in front before Raheem Sterling equalizer. Gareth Southgate called several very young players and they can debut playing against Czechs or Bulgaria. Dean Henderson from Sheffield, Tyrone Mings from Aston Villa, Fikayo Tomori and James Maddison will probably play their first appearance in a very important tournament.
