Last season, Ludogorets won the domestic Parva Liga with only one point difference over the CSKA Sofija. Most interesting, that Ludogorets conceded goals only playing against Ferencvaros in last 10 home matches in different competitions.

Claudiu Keseru should be the player to watch, as he already scored 6 goals in the league and hopefully will show his best playing against Russians. At home, the Eagles are very dangerous playing even against stronger opponents, so CSKA needs to be ready face very strong opponents with a great defensive skills.

Unfortunately, V. Stoyanov and T. Tawatha will miss the next game due to injuries.

CSKA Moscow

CSKA Moscow finished their path in Champions League already at the group stage last season. They took the last place in Group G, losing to AS Roma, Real Madrid and Plzen. However, they left the great mark after taking a victory over the Madridistas in Moscow. Which is worth a lot, and especially the trust and respect of their fans. In Russian Premier League, they took 4th place and were promoted to UEFA Europa League, where this season will compete with also very strong teams. This season in Russia is very though as even 5 teams fighting for the top of Premier League. After 9 matches, CSKA stands at 4th place with 1 goal difference against FK Rostov, Zenit Petersburg and Krasnodar. They show one of the best defensive games so far, with only 6 conceded goals.

Now Militarians are on 3 win streak with a great possibility to continue this great form. Of course, they have something to work on, especially when playing away matches. But the team is well prepared, very motivated this year and has a large and talented team. CSKA have very good chances to compete for reaching the next stage of the Europa League.

Unfortunately, this opening game will miss Georgi Shennikov, Arnor Sigurdsson, Viktor Vasin, Dmitri Efremov, Zvonimir Sarlja, Cedric Gogoua and Alan Dzagoev due to injuries. Moreover, due to yellow card suspension, Hordur Magnusson and Ivan Oblyakov will also watch this game from tribunes.
