While Chelsea had a brilliant 5:2 win over the Wolves last weekend, Valencia was smashed by Barcelona also with 2:5 result at Camp Nou. Chelsea is unbeaten at Stamford Bridge since losing by penalties against Manchester City at EFL Cup Final in February. The Blues won last season UEFA Europa League and were qualified to the group stage of CL. Valencia took 4th place in La Liga with a great end of the season, snatching this place from Getafe and Sevilla. Last time Chelsea vs Valencia played in far 2011 year, they were in one Group. Chelsea won at home with a very confident 3:0 win, Didier Drogba scored double. In Valencia, Soldado drew match with a late goal, as Frank Lampard led the team scoring at 56th minute. Later that year, Chelsea overtook Bayern Munich in the Final and become Champions. In general, since the 2007 year, Chelsea won 3 games out of 6 and was drawn other matches.

Chelsea

The Blues started this season losing to a Manchester United 4:0. Right after this match, they faced Liverpool in UEFA Super Cup Final and failed again losing by penalties. After this fails, Lampard stood strong and showed his solid character. They now have 4 unbeatable matches streak. At the last game, Pensioners took one of the most beautiful win so far over the Wolverhampton scoring 5 goals. Tammy Abraham, already in 5th Round of Premier League scored a hattrick and become youngest ever English player in Chelsea who achieved that.

From the Champions team in the 2011 year, only several people still working in Chelsea, but not as players. Together with Lampard, Chelsea can achieve great trophies and play the game, everyone was expected from him. Moreover, he uses young players, which is also very important growing strong squad. They are great in the attacks, however, need to work more on strengthening defence. Anyway, the team look better with every game, so on Tuesday, they will show their potential already in the Champions League.

Unfortunately, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Marco van Ginkel and young super talent Callum Hudson-Odoi will miss this game due to injuries.

Valencia

Valencia started this season weakly. They have only 4 points after 4 rounds in La Liga. Moreover, they failed to take even 1 point playing away games as they faced Celta Vigo and Barcelona. Against Celta, they lost with 1:0 result, while Barcelona smashed them with 5:2 score. At home, they look much better. In the first round, they failed to take 3 points, as that was the incredible end of the match. Valencia led after the Gameiro goal at 58th minute, at 95th minute Kevin missed the penalty, players started to play very aggressively trying to save the result. However, at 100th minute Coquelin got a second yellow card, was sent off and Real Sociedad scored a penalty. 10 additional minutes were more interesting than the whole match.

In general, Valencia struggling at the beginning of the season. Looks like they will face troubles also playing against Chelsea, as they found their football. Even more, they are very week playing away matches, while Chelsea showing strong game playing at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately, Carlos Soler and Cristiano Piccini will miss the next game due to injuries.
