Everton vs Wolves should be one of the most intriguing matches during the 4th Round of Premier League at Goodison Park, in Liverpool. Both teams may have started the season not as successfully as they would like. However, they will prove themselves from the best side for sure maybe already this Sunday.

These teams met twice in Premier League regular season last year. At home of Wolves, at Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton took very hard drawn being behind all the match. Even with a red card at 40th minute, Everton scored a goal and almost snatched victory in this game, but ended with 2:2 final result. At Goodison Park, Everton played worse and lost with a 1:3 score. The team from Wolverhampton more confidently and realized almost all the dangerous moments they had. Please read our thoughts here below about this most interesting game Everton vs Wolves during the 4th Premier League round.

Everton

Playing at home, in Premier League, Everton have a brilliant form since March. They won 5 games in a row without conceding any goal. Moreover, they won not against medium or weak teams but overpowered Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester. This season, they faced at Goodison Park only Watford, and also won, saving the clean sheet. However, surprisingly lost against newcomers Aston Villa, at Villa Park, on 23rd of August. They had a lot of chances to succeed and totally controlled the game. However, Aston Villa cached them on counter-attacks and came out as winners of the match. Everton had only 1 shot on goal, what is a very bad result having such a big choice of attacking players. They need to work more with new signings of the club, as they obviously have a big potential, especially in the attacks.

Unfortunately, Jean-Philippe Gbamin will miss this game due to muscle injury and expecting return only at the end of November.

Wolves

Wolves played one of the most important games of this season already against Torino in UEFA Europa League qualification. A great game, super players and the desire to win led this team, which a few seasons ago played in the English League One to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League. Only 2 tears ago, Wolves played in Championship and came in Premier League with a big statement to play as strong as it is possible to even against PL Grands.

Wolverhampton Wanderers won against Torino at Stadio Olimpico di Torino with 2:3 result and now showed their advantage on the own stadium. The second game finished with a 2:1 result at Molineux Stadium. In general, the team were very similar even their game tactics were the same. However, the home team were better and stronger in the attacks and realized given created chances. This week’s tense schedule and the fatigue of the regular players may affect the game against Everton. But, for the sake of participation in the Europa League, they can give some rest for the main leaders. And it is preparing further for even more interesting season.
