Denver Nuggets vs San Antonio Spurs - 28/04/2019 Preview

This will be the seventh leg between Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs in the second round of 2018/2019 playoffs in National Basketball Association. This match will be held at Pepsi Center, in Denver. Since both teams show great form, this must be a very entertaining game, so please read our preview below.

Denver Nuggets

Denver were real contenders to secure 1st place in the West, however, the poor end of the regular season left them in the 2nd place. It is good to see a new team besides the Golden States that might take 1st place. But now Denver must concentrate on this game because losing to 7th seed would erase all seasons work.

Just like the whole season, same as in the playoffs, Nikola Jokic is absolute team leader, not only on the court but also in the dressing room, Spurs were not able to find any cure in last game against him as he managed to score 42 points. Murray is another key player, whose incredible performance saves Nuggets from losing game 2 in Denver. So Nuggets managed not only to survive but also to win in San Antonio and bring home court advantage to themselves. And now it will be all or nothing to them because game 7 is in Denver. The home court is a huge advantage in such an important game.

San Antonio Spurs

Spurs are showing that many underestimated them by predicting an easy win for Nuggets in this NBA series. Popovich has proved again why his the greatest coach of all time, not only they not giving up easily, they have a chance to become the first team in NBA which finished in 7th place and clinched to round 2.

This season Aldridge and DeRozan are the true leaders, who carry the team on their shoulders in every game. Of course, big help comes from Patty Mills, Davis Bertans, White and Gay. The team is very well balanced, is able to play fast basketball as well as slow looking for open players. Teams chemistry is very good this season, and they go to the final game with nothing to lose knowing that all pressure is on opponents.
