Canada played eight games in preparation for this World Cup, however the results are not very promising, they managed to win only four, including loses against Nigeria and Finland which are quite surprising. Of course there were many people who expected that Canada will bring basicaly all NBA players, but most of them rejected offer to play for their country. In result it is hardly expected that Canada will manage to advance to the next round, knowing that in same group is Australia and Lithuania, teams that have much better players, however this is sport, anything can happen, but this time they are in underdog role.

Australians come to this World Cup as one of the most serious title contenders, they played only five games in preparation, won only two, but managed to defeat USA, proving that this year they really mean business. Australia has a tough group stage, but has every chances to take first place. With the roster they have brough, there is nothing less to expect, especially knowing every loss in group stage, might be very dangerous, because Canada and Lithuania both can show very impressive results, however if everything goes as planned, this match shouldnt make any troubles to australians.
