They won games were against Lithuania (78:70) and Ivory Coast (79:62). Spain is playing very good offence. This is no surprise as they have many offensive stars that are known all around the world for their capability to score many points. Players like Sergio Llull, Ricky Rubio, brothers Hernangomez and Marc Gasol is a great power of this team.
But as probably all teams that are participating in the World cup — Spain also misses some players. Sergio Rodriguez, Alex Abrines and Pau Gasol decided not to play in this year’s national team. This is a quite disappointing loss for Spain because these players would give a very nice offensive and experience push.

Dominican Republic
It is going to be the 1st game in the preparation period for Dominican Republic. It is very surprising that they are so late to start their preparation as other teams start at the beginning of August. We can’t tell much about this team as they did not play this year, but we can breakdown their roster instead. Dominican’s brightest stars are Eloy Vargas, Edgar Sosa and Dago Pena. These 3 players stand out with their ability to shoot the basketball. Also, this team shows much attention to defence. Dominica’s work on the defensive end is pretty good as they have many tall players and it is easier to protect the paint.
The downturns of this team are that two NBA stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Al Horford decided to rest themselves and refused to play for the national team. If these two big men played, Dominica could even be considered as the top 8 teams in the World cup. But as long as there is no depth and no star-power, things for Dominica does not look very good.
