Zalgiris Kaunas vs Alba Berlin will be the 8th round of this year Euroleague which will take place at Zalgiris Arena (Kaunas). So far both teams are showing very disappointing results. This is a must-win game for both sides, however, Zalgiris already made some changes on the roster and are playing at home, therefore they are the favourites to win this game. Zalgiris Kaunas

Probably nobody could imagine such a bad start for Zalgiris this season. The first seven games were lost after the first two losses coach Shiller was fired, and when it started to look that new coach Zdovc is showing some good chances, the team played an awful game last week in Stambul. Anadolu Efes just trashed Zalgiris 94:60 and more changes followed. Zalgiris signed Webster, Dragic and terminated Mudiay’s contract. Both new players should allow Zalgiris to show more fight and perhaps will help to start moving on the right path. However, they still have a lot of problems and new players will need some time to adjust. Therefore, this is a must-win game for Lithuanians, because after Alba they are facing top8 teams and a few more losses might cost them a lot.

Alba Berlin

Just like the last year, Alba once again is considered one of the weakest teams in the Euroleague. And although they only have 2 wins in 7 games, the fight they give and spirit they show is very impressive. Considering how poor Zalgiris is playing, this is a good opportunity for Alba to grab a win in an away game and rise from the bottom. However, Zalgiris will have the full support of their fans and this might be a huge advantage for Lithuanians. If Alba will allow them to start playing as they want, this might not be a competitive game. However, Alba also have better players in almost every position and considering the changes Zalgiris recently made, germans have a good chance to grab a win.

Zalgiris Kaunas vs Alba Berlin H2H

Both teams faced each other four times in the past two years and Alba managed to win only once. The last three meetings ended with Lithuanians wins. However, Zalgiris was never so weak in the last five years.
