Real Madrid

The royal club started this season with a bit of struggle. Losses against Valencia, Baskonia, Olimpia and Barcelona didn‘t make fans very happy, however, after those losses, it seems Real has resurfaced and won 3 games in a row. Their best performance was against Bayern (100-82).  Real are trying to show the same game as they always do, many fast attacks, and a lot of three-pointers. However, if the opponent shows a better defence and won’t allow running all game, the team starts to struggle. Nevertheless, Madrid is still a very dangerous team and they are facing a very dangerous opponent who just won a huge victory against Zalgiris and will be desperate to improve their winning run.

Maccabi Tel Aviv

Maccabi started this season in a terrible way, lost 6 games out of 8, and so far have only two wins. Nevertheless, a very big win against Zalgiris and inspiring defence suggests that the team is starting to regain its trust and starting to look as they were supposed from the beginning. Maccabi is a very dangerous team from long range because almost all players can score from there, also they move the ball very fast which makes it very difficult for the defence to catch a player that is going to make a shot. However, their opponent is more dangerous than Zalgiris and it might be very difficult to Real from running to fast break. Also, a huge problem will be Walter Tavares.  He is just a dominant power under the rim and if Maccabi will not find a way to stop him, it will be very hard to imagine how can they stay in the game.
