Panathinaikos vs Crvena Zvezda will be the first match in Euroleague for both teams, which will happen in O.A.C.A. Olympic Indoor Hall (Greece). Both teams played only one official match, Panathinaikos won in round one local Cup, but Zvezda managed to lose in quarterfinals playing at home. So both teams are in very different moods. Please, read our preview here below.

Panathinaikos

Last season Panathinaikos lost in Euroleague at quarterfinals against Real Madrid, but the loss was quite disappointing as they failed to win at least one game. After Olympiacos started to riot they got technical loss 0:20 technicals against them and then Panathinaikos had an easy way to win Greece Cup. This season they already started with a win, so all that is left for now to start Euroleague in the same manner. Odds are good for them, as they host the match against Zvezda, so everything should be easy once again for Greeks.

Crvena Zvezda

Crvena Zvezda started this season in a worst possible way, as they lost at home against Primorska in quarterfinals in ABA Supercup. It is a very disappointing result because they had the best odds to win the cup.  Moreover, now they must go to Greece to face a much stronger opponent. This might be a very difficult season for Zvezda as they failed to sign any better players. However, they managed to keep most of the players that played last season, it means that people there know each other and it might turn out into a big advantage. This match will show if coach Tomic is capable to motivate the team into focusing after crucial loss, because if not, Zvezda won‘t stand a chance of reaching playoffs.

Panathinaikos vs Crvena Zvezda H2H

Their H2H looks impressive as they faced each other 16 times. Only 5 times Zvezda managed to win and only once in an away game, so history does not show favour to Serbians. However every time everything starts from 0, so all they need to do is focus and don‘t repeat past mistakes.
