Maccabi Tel Aviv

Currently, the 5th placed team with 14 victories and 7 losses. Tel Aviv Maccabi have been dealing with some injuries throughout this season, but after adding some new players, they will have almost a full roster for Thursday’s match. Maccabi had a really tough game in Munich last week, where they couldn’t take control of the match. Maccabi lost the match against Bayern in one of the lowest-scoring games of the season (68-80). Scottie Wilbekin had a night off as he only managed to make 3 three-pointers out of 13 tries, but it would be very naive to expect him to have another match like that for a while. Maccabi should be able to bounce back and recover after the loss at home court.

Real Madrid

This year’s Real is no different to previous ones. They’re playing fast-paced and well-controlled tennis, which led to 3rd spot with 15 victories and only 6 losses in 21 rounds. Even though Real had the longest win streak of the season (13), they’re currently facing a 3 loss streak. 55-60 to CSKA, 94-102 to Khimki and 75-80 at home against Anadolu Efes last week. It would be very strange to see such a team losing 4th match in a row, but knowing how well Maccabi are playing this year, Real’s chances are not as high as some people may expect. Real will need all the players to give their best in order to even fight for the victory against the team who hasn’t lost a single match at home in Euroleague this year.
