This summer was probably toughest for Lithuanian champions in the last five years. With coach Jasikevicius departure to Barcelona, many who believe Zalgiris will finish as high as 14th place. Team had some changes, arrived Lauvergne, Garino. Both players had some serious injuries in the past year, but the French seem to be in the perfect shape, as Garino only played his first game this weekend and will take some more time to come back to his best. Luckily, all the main players are fine and able to play, also coach Shiller seems to have found a new card-Rokas Jokubaitis. The kid has shown true nerves of steel against Olympiacos and surely will try to do the same against Khimki. Nevertheless, the team is not yet balanced and obviously needs time to find their best game.
