The squad from Monaco had troubles at the beginning of the season. However, now they collecting points and slowly but confidently going up in Ligue 1 Standings.

Lille

Last season Lille faced Strasbourg at 1/16 final and were eliminated on their first Coupe de la Ligue game by the winners. However, the situation in Ligue 1 was much better than their rivals Monaco as they took 2nd place and were qualified to Champions League. Unfortunately, even playing strongly ion France this season, they failed to take even 3rd place and play in other Europe competition. Lille finished the UCL Group stage at 4th place with only 1 point after 6 games. Of course, the opponents were very strong, but knowing that all of them had weaknesses Lille had lots of chances to fight for at least 3rd place. Looks like Dogs fully concentrated on Ligue 1 and stands at the moment at 3rd place. This is a great opportunity to take place in European competition next year and work harder on made mistakes.
