The first race over a mile see’s Andre Fabre saddle the favourite Savarin representing Japan who have a real affinity with the Arc meeting on paper this horse looks on paper an improver and a decent favourites chance at 3/1. Marieta a group two winning improver looks to be worthy of some each-way support.

The second race looks tight  at the front of the market between the fav and second fav Armory whos colours were lowered by non-other than Pinatubo and this step up in trip should help Armory and at 7/2 he looks very backable as an each-way selection the horse trained by John Gosden and Frankie Dettori could get there afternoon off to a good start ahead of the main event. Alson has a nice profile and at 10/1 he is a tempting each-way bet.

The main event sees the favourite Enable is going for a record third Arc victory and there is every reason to expect her to win. On Paper there is not much to between Japan and Enable based on their form with Crystal Ocean, however, Enable always seems to have a bit more in the tank, every time she runs she seems to have a little bit in reserve and although not all of her wins are by far she is, without doubt, the real deal and although Japan is improving to get the better of the champ he will need to run a massive race and whatever beats Enable will be a worthy winner but for us it’s is unlikely. For each way supporters, the Goldolphin trained Ghaiyyath at 14/1 is worth a cover bet

1m2f Prix de l’Opera Longines (Group 1) (3yo+ Fillies & Mares) (Grande Course) (Turf) (3yo+)

Mehdaayih looks to have a favourites chance with a solid second in the Group 1 Nassau stakes he should go off around 2/1. The A O’Brien have gone for team performance in this race and Pink Dogwood ridden by Ryan More is backable each way. For a real long shot, Villa Marina at 25/1 has to step up but could run a big race.

5f Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (Group 1) (2yo+) (Sprint Course) (Turf) (2yo+)

Battash looks to be in the form of his life based on his last race and he has won this before but last year was beaten by Mabs Cross who looks capable once again and can be backed at  7/1. The fav we will be taking on at the price as he is capable of throwing in the odd below-par performance.

Hey Gaman can be forgiven his last run and could run a big race at 14/1 Sir Dancealot is another at a big price who could also be in the mix with the fav also looking backable in what looks to be a fairly open race.

Millfield looks like he has been aimed at this race and looking at his recent form at first glance he would not jump out at you but he is only 7/1 and that is for a reason the bookies respect his profile. George The Prince is another that is not obvious on paper but his recent form gives him an each-way chance at 10/1
