England

FIFA Rating – 4

One of the most interesting national team in the world showing their best recently. Due to the respectful Premier League, almost all players in this team is well-known and beloved by many fans. At the beginning of summer, they missed several games in Euro2020 qualification, as they played in playoffs in UEFA Nations League and took the 3rd place in a very hard game against Switzerland by penalties. After many years spent finding the right coach and growing players, they finally started to show results.

In UEFA Euro2020 qualification, they stand in the first place even after 2 played games. At the first home game at Wembley, England won 5:0 against Czech Republic. Raheem Sterling showed all his abilities and scored a hattrick. At home, they looked very calm and confident playing against a weaker opponent. In Podgorica, they won against Montenegro with a 1:5 result and showed their desire and motivation to win. The result doesn’t reflect the game, but the British simply very well realized all the moments, that’s why they scored so many goals. In defence, they also looked confident and strong. In general, playing against two far away from weakest opponents they already scored 10 goals and conceded 1 in 2 games.

This time also, England called brilliant footballers mostly from England, but also from Spain and Germany. It is always big pleasure to watch how they play together, not competing with each other. Now they have one goal, to protect the country’s pride on the football ground.

Bulgaria

FIFA Rating – 60

After 4 played matches in Euro2020 qualification, Bulgaria is outsiders together with Montenegro collected by 2 points. Bulgaria started qualification from 2 draws in a row against Montenegro in Sofia and Kosovo in Pristina.  Unfortunately, the 3 and 4 rounds for the Bulgars were very unsuccessful, as they lost both matches against Kosovo and Czech Republic. Against Czechs, they looked really strong, however, they played in Prague, so hosts had a big advantage, which helped them to win. However, Kosovo showed all their best playing as guests but won scoring a late goal in 93 minutes of the game. In general, Kosovo had more chances to score, controlled the possession and was obviously stronger. Bulgaria almost lost their chances to take higher places, as they still have 2 matches against group favourites England.

Most of the players are new in Bulgaria’s national squad. As only 3 players have more than 40 played games. Krasimir Balakov, ex-Stuttgart player joined Bulgaria as a head coach of the team and will lead them to new heights. That’s one of the reasons, why so many new players were called to the national team. However, the last two defeats were already under the guidance of a new specialist.
