Kyle Edmund

34th ranked Kyle Edmund hasn’t played a lot this season. He were dealing with some injuries, but he is finally back on the court and ready to play. We’ve seen him playing for a long period of time and it’s easy to forget that this guy is still only 24 years of age. Some of the expectations are way too high for a guy who had to deal with a lot of injuries. He is still improving and growing as a player at the same time. Edmund had an easy opening match here at Washington, where he’s defeated G Harris in straight sets. He’s had a good warm-up as tomorrow will definitely be a new day with a lot stronger opposition.

If Kyle manages to stay healthy and none of the injuries will bother him, we might finally see what this young man is capable of, and he can definitely be a threat to anyone.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga

One of the best-known names in tennis has dropped out of Top 50 and is ranked 70th overall at the moment. 34 years old veteran has been dealing with injuries and health problems throughout the past few seasons. He will probably never return to the form he used to show at his peak, but he’s still a decent player who can show off at one match or another. Tsonga holds an insane 69% win rate on the hard ground throughout his career by winning 294 matches out of 426 played. Tsonga had no problems defeating Schnur at the opening match here, at Washington, but the match with a K. Khachanov were a lot closer one, but Frenchman managed to come out on top. It’s hard to predict whether Tsonga is fully healthy and prepared for tomorrow’s match or not, but he’ll definitely give his best.
