1/16 final of an ATP 500 tournament in London, United Kingdom. It’s actually very unusual to have such great and high ranked players facing off against each other at the opening round but here we are. To have more insights on this ATP Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Kyle Edmund match please check out the preview below.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

6th ranked 21 years old from Greece have started the season strongly but is facing some slumps at this game these days. He’s currently sitting on a 2 loss streak as he dropped out of French Open by losing to Stan and also lost to Nicolas Jarry at his first match on grass this season in Hertogenbosch. Tsitipas has proved that he is an incredible player and can match against anyone on every ground expects grass. This is the only ground he still has a lot to prove on as he hasn’t played a lot of matches on it throughout his career so far. Well, the first match was not quite as expected as he’s lost and that’s a good reason to be even more motivated for this tournament because nobody would understand 2 first round exits in a row for the 6th ranked player.

Kyle Edmund

Currently, 30th ranked Kyle Edmund hasn’t had the best season so far. Even though he is still only 24 years of age he’s been playing at the highest tier tournaments for quite a while and expectations for him are definitely high ones. He’s kinda unlucky by having injury after injury without being able to avoid them for a while. Injuries are the main thing that’s been stopping him at becoming a Top20 or even a Top10 player. Kyle’s favorite ground is hard and he’s never had a good record on grass and there are a lot of questions about how will he look after all those injuries on the ground that’s not his best one. Well, he had about 3 weeks to prepare for this tournament and we’ll see if Edmund can surprise everyone while playing at his home crowd.
