Well, Denver had an incredible season, as they almost took 1st place in the West, unfortunately, they ran short few victories and managed to secure 2nd place, nevertheless, this is a very good accomplishment to Denver, however in playoffs against Spurs they started struggling, and were very close to be eliminated in the first round, but managed to take the final game and close the series 4:3. The most job was done by Jokic and Murray, who both carried Nuggets in all 7 games. In the final game, Jokic made an incredible performance scoring 42 points. Murray was the one who closed the game with 24 seconds left.
Now when the pressure is gone, we will see again the better performance from Denver. They already won first game against Portland and looked entirely different, then against the Spurs. So it is a very good opportunity for them to move up to NBA Western finals.
Portland Trail Blazers
Portland were underdogs in the series against Oklahoma. Everyone thought that without Nurkic they just do not stand a chance, against Westbrook, George, Adams, but they had Lillard, who carried Portland all the way past Oklahoma losing only one game and closing series 4:1. It was Lillard who made a game-winner in 5th match. He got big help from McCollum, Harkless, and Kanter, these are the key players, whose performance determinates whole teams performance. Now Blazers once again are underdogs, but this time it is a much more dangerous opponent, and it is very hard to believe that Portland will repeat their fairy tale. Without Nurkic it will almost impossible to stop Jokic, and if they will not stop him, they will not win.

This will be 6th meeting this season, Nuggets lost only once, however, all games were won by less than 10 points.
