On the 29th of June, the event will mark the promotion’s third visit to Minneapolis. The main event of the evening will be a welterweight rematch between former UFC Welterweight Champions Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley (19-4-1) and Robbie “Ruthless” Lawler (28-13, 1NC). This fight will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In their first encounter, Woodley took a title from Lawler by knocking him out back in July 2016 at UFC 201. But after nearly 3 years Woodley lost to Kamaru Usman in March 2019 at UFC 235 and lost his welterweight title.

But then he met “The Nigerian Nightmare” Kamaru Usman. Back in March at UFC 235 he dominated then-champion Tyron Woodley for all 5 rounds and became the new UFC welterweight champion of the world. It was a hard loss for T-Wood. But now he is looking forward to reclaiming his title and become UFC welterweight champion once again. “The Chosen One” is fantastic MMA wrestler, has very strong wrestling skills. Furthermore, he is an extremely explosive athlete, has real knockout power in his hands. Also, he is a very experienced fighter, been in deep water and found a way to win.
Robbie “Ruthless” Lawler
Robbie Lawler is coming off a controversial stoppage against Ben Askren back in March 2019 at UFC 235. As Askren was squeezing bulldog choke referee Herb Dean got close to check if Robbie Lawler is good. But Lawler’s shoulder appeared to go limp for a second so Herb Dean had to stop the fight. But after the horn, Lawler instantly sprang to his feet and protested the stoppage to Dean that he was not out. And he wasn’t. But it was too little too late. “Ruthless” understood the referee and took that loss like a man. Now he is facing ex-champion and it will be another hard serious for him. Robbie Lawler is an elite, explosive striker, throws heavy hands, knees, has a good striking defense. Also “Ruthless” is extremely experienced, has lots of championship fight experience.
